barcelona 48h open house 2016

The Barcelona Open House is a yearly event of architectural experiences that I had had the chance to visit for the third time. In 48 hours there are many interesting projects and buildings opening their gates, many of which are impossible to visit otherwise and even less for free.
Unfortunately these 48 hours is kind of false advertising, since most buildings are open only for three hours either Saturday or Sunday, too many of them overlap and the queues are just too long (yeah I'm looking at you Santa Maria del Mar and Arc de Triomf). I had the time to visit five spots this years.
So my main complaint is the very short and overlapping opening times- however I also understand that this whole festival is for free and based on volunteer's work and that is must be far from easy to organize. If you are lucky enough to be in Barcelona for an OHB, have a look at which buildings do open because it may give you a whole other perspective on the city and make you same some bucks.

Já letos stihla pět bodů- staré přístavní hodiny a bratrství rybářů, Hospital Sant Pau, byt v ulici Provença 371, Ántiga Fàbrica d'Estrella Damm (starý pivovar Estrella) a bytový dům Casa del Pati.
